Fisheries Officer Caught Red-Handed In Odisha, See Details

Baripada: Fisheries officer of Mayurbhanj district in Odisha was caught red-handed while demanding and accepting bribe.

According to reports vigilance sleuths today arrested the officer, Surendra Ghadei for demanding a bribe of Rs. 1.10 lakh from Dhurjati Das for issue of work order for a fish farm, hatchery project and issue of subsidiary money in bioflock fishing scheme.

A trap was laid on Tuesday and the accused was caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance.

The entire bribe amount was recovered from the possession of the accused, further investigation is on.
