Cuttack: Continuing its crackdown on various food adulteration units, Commissionerate police on Saturday busted a fake ghee manufacturing unit at Sector-9 of Markat Nagar area in Cuttack.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Markat nagar police carried out a raid at the illegal manufacturing unit and seized huge amount of adulterated ghee, machines and raw materials used to prepare the product.
The owner of the manufacturing unit has been detained for further questioning.
Further investigation is underway.
Earlier, on November 30 a duplicate ghee manufacturing unit was busted in Sriram Bazaar area of 42 Mouza in Cuttack district of Odisha.
