ED puts up notice at Sarathi ashram in Kendrapara, prohibits ‘trespassing’

Kendrapara: In view of the release of self-proclaimed godman Sarathi Baba on bail a day before yesterday the Enforcement Directorate (ED) put up a notice before his sprawling Barimul ashram issuing warning against trespassing here today.

A four-member ED team arrived at the ashram in the noon and put up the notice making it clear that, the property is in possession of it and hence restricts any kind of unauthorised entry into its premise.

Notably, Santosh Raul alias Sarathi Baba was granted conditional bail by Kendrapara SDJM court on Thursday against a bond of Rs 2 lakh and two bailers. He was released from Choudwar Circle Jail in the evening on the same day.

Raul had been arrested by Odisha Crime Branch on August 8, 2015, from his Ashram on charges of sexual assault and physical exploitation of women devotees.
