Devotee dies of heart attack at Puri Jagannath temple

In a heart-wrenching incident, a devotee reportedly died of heart attack on the premises of the Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s Puri City on Sunday.

Puri: In a heart-wrenching incident, a devotee reportedly died of heart attack on the premises of the Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s Puri City on Sunday.

As per sources, the devotee who had gone to the Shree Mandir for the darshan of Lord Jagannath and his siblings reportedly fell on the ground infront of the Biswanath Temple, situated inside the 12th century shrine.

Soon, the devotee was rushed to the Puri District Headquarter Hospital for treatment. However, the doctor declared him brought dead saying heart attack to be the reason of his death. The identity of the deceased devotee, however, was not known at the time of publishing this news.

The devotee’s body will be sent for postmortem after establishing his identity and informing about his death to the family members, said sources.
