DCP Prateek Singh gives more details about Odia Telly actress Rashmirekha Ojha’s suicide case

Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh on Thursday gave more details about Odia Telly actress Rashmirekha Ojha’s suicide case.

While addressing a press meet today, Prateek Singh said, “Police have received the post-mortem report of Rashmirekha Ojha. Doctors have identified antemortem hanging as the reason behind her death. This is counted as a suicide case. However, our further investigation will continue to know the other reason behind her death.

“The inquiry officer is questioning her (Rashmirekha’s) family members and friends to find out whether she was under depression which forced her to take the drastic step,” he added.

When asked whether the viscera test of Rashmirekha was done, the DCP said, “We did not opt for her viscera test as we did not have any suspicion for that. However, all angles will be brought under the purview of the investigation. Will come into a conclusion based on facts and proofs we have got so far.”

He further said that everyone is cooperating and responsive to the investigation.

Meanwhile, a video has now come to the fore where it can be seen that Rashmirekha dancing to an Odia sad song at a pub. It is said that she had been to the pub with her friends two days before committing suicide.
