Cyber experts to help Commissionerate Police to check cybercrimes

As informed by Bhubaneswar Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Prateek Singh, 25 cyber experts from different software companies will work for the Commissionerate Police as public volunteers.

Bhubaneswar: With the beginning of the New Year, the Twin-City Commissionerate Police has geared up to check cybercrimes. To achieve its goal, the city police has joined hands with different software companies.

As informed by Bhubaneswar Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Prateek Singh, 25 cyber experts from different software companies will work for the Commissionerate Police as public volunteers.

The prime focus of the cyber experts is to keep a close vigil on circulation of false news or information and deepfake videos or images through social media and dark wave during the upcoming elections.

This apart, a special team will also train the police to investigate against cybercrime, said the DCP adding that police has prepared a new plan to nab street crime and interstate robbers.
