Malkangiri: In a major breakthrough, a landmine was detected by the CRPF jawans near the Malkangiri border.
Reportedly, the landmine was detected during a search operation that was planted by the Maoists.
The Maoists had planted the landmine in the Kistaram forest in Sukma district of Chattisgarh and targeted the local police.
However, during the search operation, CRPF jawans detected it and detonated the landmine on the spot.
Notably, the landmine blast was so severe that it could blow large vehicles upto 20-30 ft above the ground level.
