Angul: In a heart-wrenching incident, a jawan’s body was found lying in a pool of blood in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp at Chheliapara village in Angul district of Odisha.
The jawan has been identified as Mihir Kumar Das from Kendrapara district.
He was shot with the service weapon at the paramilitary camp at around 5 am this morning, sources said.
Mihir was immediately rushed the District Headquarters Hospital in Angul, where he was declared brought dead.
It is still unclear whether it is a case of suicide or murder, a police official told Kalinga TV. A case has been registered in this connection, he said, adding that Mihir’s family members have been informed about the incident.
In 2016, a jawan was killed with the service rifle by a colleague in this camp.
