Bhubaneswar: As India gears up for a coronavirus vaccine, Odisha is slated to undergo a vaccine dry run today in all 30 districts including the state head quarter,Bhubaneswar.
The vaccination sites have been identified in all District Head Quarter Hospitals and Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar.
The massive exercise comes a day after a government-appointed panel recommended the approval of Oxford-AstraZeneca’s coronavirus vaccine candidate manufactured by Serum Institute.
The Co-WIN web portal (trial version) will be used for dry run vaccination. The user id for each district and Capital hospital has been created.
At each site 25 numbers of beneficiaries (health care workers) will be enrolled in the portal for dry run vaccination. A five member vaccination team including one vaccinator will be deployed at each session site.
All the sites will have a three-room setup – one waiting room, one vaccination room, and an observation room. A team of four people one person to check the documents, one to check the registration of the beneficiaries, one to monitor the person, and one to control the crowd will be present.
