Covid 19 Update: BMC and CMC record 1498 and 481 positive cases today

Bhubaneswar: As many as 1498 Covid positive cases were reported in Bhubaneswar on January 20. On the other hand, Cuttack city (CMC area) has reported 481 positive cases.

According to reports by BMC, out of the total 1498 positive cases detected today, 53 positive cases are quarantine cases while local contact cases are 1445. The positive cases linked with earlier positive cases are 53.

The total cases in Bhubaneswar now stand at 1, 39,210 while the total recovered cases are 1, 27,404. The total death cases recorded in the BMC is 1109.  Active cases in the city are 10676. The number of recovered cases today is 995.

As reported on Thursday by CMC, out of the 481 new cases reported, 194 cases of local contact case were registered. The total case from home quarantine is 214. 73 cases of institutional quarantine cases were recorded today in the silver city.

Total Covid-19 cases in Cuttack city are 47,740 while the recovered cases are 52,496. The active cases today are 4327. The deaths in the city are 429.

Odisha has reported over 11,000 covid-19 positive cases for the first time in the third wave.

Odisha on Thursday reported 10,368 fresh cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, informed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department.

With the new 10.368 positive cases including 3036 cases from Khordha have been detected in the last 24 hours followed by Sundergarh at 1505 and Cuttack at 940 cases.

The total cases include 1090 in the 0-18 years age group have been found, informed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department.
