Covid-19 Update: 138 Covid patients recover in last 24 hours in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Health & Family Welfare (H&FW) Department of Odisha informed that another 138 patients have recovered from Covid-19 in the State and are being discharged from various facilities as on January 5.

The Health department informed about this development through its official Twitter handle.

According to the H&FW department of the state, the highest recoveries were in Khordha district followed by Sambalpur and Jagatsinghpur districts.

The total recovered cases in Odisha now stand at 10,45,514.

The details of the recovery cases from different districts today are as follows:

52 from Khordha

24 from Sambalpur

7 from Jagatsinghpur

6 from Cuttack

5 from Balasore

5 from Jajpur

5 from Mayurbhanj

5 from Puri

4 from Jharsuguda

3 from Angul

3 from Kendrapara

2 from Boudh

2 from Ganjam

1 from Bhadrak

1 from Nayagarh

1 from Rayagada

12 from State Pool

On January 5, 2022, as many as 1216 Covid-19 positive cases including 456 from Khordha have been detected in the last 24 hours.

The total cases include 187 in the 0-18 years age group have been found, informed the Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Wednesday.

Among the 1216 positives, 710 are quarantine cases and 506 are local contacts.
