Covid-19 Twin City Update: Bhubaneswar records  1414 positive cases while Cuttack records 485 cases today

Bhubaneswar: Covid-19 cases in Odisha’s capital city Bhubaneswar are 1414 on January 19. On the other hand, Cuttack city reported 485 new Covid-19 cases today. The rapidly rising Covid-19 positive cases in Twin City remain a concern for the administration.

According to reports by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), out of the total 1414 positive cases registered today, 44 cases are quarantine cases while 1370 cases are local contact cases.

With today’s development, the total Covid-19 positive cases have increased to 1,37,896. The recovered cases are 1,26,409. The total number of deceased cases are 1105. At present, the active Covid-19 cases in Bhubaneswar stand at 10,177.

In the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC area) 485 new Covid-19 cases were registered. While 85 cases were Institutional quarantine cases, 190 cases were home quarantine cases. As many as 210 local contact cases were recorded today.

The total cases in CMC are 52,015 while the recovered cases are 47,177. Active cases today are 4409 while the deaths are 429.

The recovered cases in BMC and CMC on January 19 are 733 and 392 respectively.

Odisha on Wednesday reported 11,607 fresh cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, informed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department.

With the new 11,607 positive cases including 4347 cases from Khordha have been detected in the last 24 hours followed by Sundergarh at 1219 and Cuttack at 898 cases.

The total cases include 991 in the 0-18 years age group have been found, informed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department.
