Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police on Friday arrested two persons after seizing foreign liquor from their possession at Master Canteen Square in the state capital here on Friday. The accused persons have been identified as Susanta Kumar Rout and Umashankar Senapati.
Acting on a tip-off, police waylaid one of the accused persons while going on a scooty with the foreign liquor at the Master Canteen. When asked about the liquor, the biker could not produce any document, following which he was arrested by the cops.
During interrogation, he named another accused. Based on his inputs, police arrested the other accused and seized 140 foreign liquor bottles from their possession.
Meanwhile, the duos, who were living in Jagamara area under Khandagiri police limits, have been forwarded to judicial custody.
