Class ten girl student dies after falling off hostel roof in Sundergarh, family allege murder

Sundergarh: In a shocking incident, a class ten girl student died after falling off the hostel roof of Panchayat High School at Patuadihi of Odisha’s Sundergarh district today.

The girl reportedly died after falling off the hostel roof this afternoon, however, it is uncertain under what circumstances she fell to death.

On the other hand, the family members of the deceased student alleged that she fell to death after being pushed off the rooftop. They also filed a police complaint.

Based on the complaint of the deceased student’s family members, the local police initiated a probe into the matter and detained the principal of the school along with the assistant teacher and hostel warden for interrogation.

The body has been sent for postmortem, said sources adding that further investigation is underway.
