Chief Minister Declares Restoration Package for Cyclone Affected Kendrapara

Kendrapara: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today reviewed the post-cyclone situation in Kendrapara and announced a package for restoration work in the district. Patnaik today visited the district and held the review meeting at the office of the district collector.

Patnaik announced construction of 30 additional cyclone shelters in the district. Each of the cyclone shelters will come up at a cost of Rs 2 crore.

The chief minister also declared assistance of Rs 2 lakh for the repair of each school building, Anganwadi centre and public utility assets owned by the panchayats.

Patnaik has directed the district administration to initiate immediate steps for implementing the livelihood package for self-help groups, farmers and fishermen. Patnaik has also directed the district administration to ensure that not a single eligible person is left out from getting compensation.
