CBSE Class 10th, 12th examinations begin across the country

Bhubaneswar: The annual Board examination for Class 10th and 12th  began across the country today with over 30 lakh students appearing in it.

The examination was started at 10 am at all Centres after the students were allowed an entry starting from 9.45 am. No student was permitted after 10 am.

As per the CBSE, a total number of 1889878 candidates will take the Class 10 exam this year including 788195 girls, 1101664 boys and 19 transgenders. Similarly, a total of 12 lakh students will appear in Class 12th exam out of which 522819 are girls, 684068 boys and 6 transgenders.

The Class 10th and Class 12th examinations are being held across the country at 5376 and 4983 centres respectively this year.

The Class 10th board exams are scheduled to conclude on March 20 while Class 12th board exams will conclude on March 30.
