Capital city of Odisha reports 5 Coronavirus positive cases on May 21

Bhubaneswar: As many as 5 cases of Coronavirus have been detected in Odisha’s capital city in the last 24 hours. Bhubaneswar has recorded 5 positive cases on May 21, 2022.

According to reports by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 5 positive cases that was reported today were local contact cases. Single case was detected from Kalinga nagar, Tankapani road, VSS Nagar, Baramunda and Unit 8 each.

With today’s development the total Covid-19 positive cases have increased to 1,56,640. The recovered cases are 1,55,352. The total deceased cases are 1193. At present, the active Covid-19 cases in Bhubaneswar stand at 74. The recovered cases in BMC in last 24 hours is 1.

Odisha on Saturday reported eight new Covid cases, informed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department. The positive tally stands at 12,88,357.

Reportedly, among the 8, five patients are in quarantine, and three are local contacts. The active cases in Odisha currently stand at 116.

Today, Khordha recorded the highest Covid cases with five positives while Koraput, Sundergarh, and State Pool with one positive case each.
