Bodies of Odia youths killed in Japan’s Tokyo to reach Kolkata today

Bhubaneswar: Bodies of two Odia youths who had recently died of asphyxiation in Japan capital Tokyo will be reaching Kolkata today.

The deceased duo has been identified as Sk Mantaz, a resident of Balasore district and Sk Baruddin, a resident of Jajpur district. Their bodies had reached Delhi yesterday.

Mantaz and Baruddin were working in a hotel in Tokyo when came in contact with poisonous gas and died on the spot.

Union Minister of State for Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Pratap Chandra Sarangi wrote a letter to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to make all arrangements to bring back the bodies of the deceased and also met him personally to convey the matter three days ago.

Sarangi has also conducted a telephonic discussion on this matter with the Indian Embassy in Tokyo.

Meanwhile, the Odisha Government has already sent its official to Kolkata to receive the bodies.
