Kenonjhar: After a gap of about a month, the deadly online game “Blue Whale Challenge” has raised its head in the state with a fresh report from Anandapur area of Kenonjhar district on Saturday.
According to reports, a youth identified as Ajay Patra of Tabhakuda village attempted suicide by consuming poison after falling prey to the online game.
The 21-year-old, who works in a private company in Tamil Nadu, attempted suicide at his residence in the state after crossing the third stage of the killer game.
Family members admitted him to Anandapur hospital after noticing him mentally depress for the last three days. However, the matter of poison consumption came to light only after the hospital authorities reported the incident.
Police had not begun any investigation into the matter till the news was filed.
