Bike lifter gang busted in Bhubaneswar, 3 held, 13 motorcycles recovered

Bhubaneswar: Tightening the noose around the necks of bike lifters, Khandagiri Police yesterday arrested at least three youths in the city and seized as many as 13 bikes from their possession.

The accused have been identified as Jhumar Biswal (27), Raju Swain (25) of Kodala area of Ganjam district and Dasarathi Dalei (22), a resident of Raghunath Nagar of Bhubaneswar.

Police succeeded to arrest the trio and bust their gang while acting upon a complaint filed by one Manoj Kumar Duari of Subash Nagar under Khandagiri area. Subash had lodged a complaint with Khandagiri Police after losing his by to the gang at a parking area in Phase-4 of Dumduma on December 31, last year.

All the members of the looter gang have been forwarded to court.
