Bhubaneswar missing man’s body found near Olatpur, family alleges organ trafficking

The body of a man missing since November 10 was found in a farmland under mysterious circumstances near Olatpur in Cuttack on Thursday night

Bhubaneswar: The body of a man missing since November 10 was found in a farmland under mysterious circumstances near Olatpur in Cuttack on Thursday night.

The deceased has been identified as Kelucharan Routray from Unit-1 area in Bhubaneswar.

Reports say, Kelucharan complained of sickness and vomited multiple times on last Friday, following which he called the ambulance service to take him to Capital hospital.

When he did not return back, his family members went to the hospital and found he did not have any OPD registrations in his name and lodged a complaint at the police station.

When they found the body, Routray’s family members claimed that certain organs, including the eyes and kidney, were missing. His chest also had a cut and his face was deformed with acid. They alleged the involvement of an organ theft racket in the incident.
