Bhubaneswar Airport to get third terminal soon

Bhubaneswar: With a view to make passengers’ visit hassle-free at the Biju Patnaik International Airport here, the Centre has decided to build a new terminal at the city based airport, informed Ministry of Civil Aviation Joint Secretary Usha Padhee on Monday.

The proposed third terminal will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 930 crore, said Padhi after a meeting with State government officials here today.

The construction work of the proposed terminal-III will be completed in three years, she added.

Padhi also said that the Union Ministry has floated a tender to resume flight operation at the newly-constructed Veer Surendra Sai Airport at Jharsuguda.
