Nuapada: Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday raided the office and residence of Assistant Civil Supplies Officer (ACSO) Ratnakar Sethy of Nuapada district on charges of acquisition and possession of property disproportionate to his known sources of income.
On the strength of a search warrant issued by Cuttack Special Judge Vigilance Court, the vigilance consisting 6 DSPs, 12 Insp and other officers conducted simultaneous raids at six places associated with him.
They searched his residential house at Bali Sahi in Madhupatna in Cuttack, three storeyed building at Chauliaganj in Cuttack, Nataraj palace Kalyan Mandap at Balisahi in Cuttack, one acre land covered by boundary wall with house at Oranda, Choudwar, office room at CSO office in Nuapada, rented house at Nuapada.
During the search, insurance premium paid worth over 1.13 cr, one triple storeyed building at Chauliaganj in Cuttack, one double storeyed building at Balisahi in Cuttack, one kalyan mandap, gold jewellery worth 498 gms and silver jeweleery 2,5kg assests unearthed so far.
