Arrested Liquor Mafia Tests Covid Positive, Few Excise Dept Officials Under Home Quarantine

Bhubaneswar: The Excise Department arrested a 55-years-old man for selling liquor illegally in Bharatpur area in capital city of Odisha.

The accused has been identified as Gobinda Nayak , son of Bharata Nayak.

Acting on a tip off the officials conducted a raid in the Bharatpur slum area and caught Gobinda from the spot.

Reportedly, the accused has been tested Covid positive while he was undergoing medical test before being forwarded to the court.

Meanwhile, few members of the Excise Department have been kept under home quarantine and contact tracing is underway.
