Bhubaneswar: Air Odisha will start direct flight services to Raipur from Biju Patnaik International Airport here from June 20, informed Air Odisha official on Monday. With this development, the distance between two capital cities will be covered in just 1.5 hours.
The flight will take off from the temple city of Odisha at 6.10 AM and reach the State capital of Chhattisgarh at around 7.40 AM. On the same day, the flight will depart from Raipur at 12.15 PM and arrive here at 1.40 PM. At least 20 passengers can travel in the flight, where there will be two pilots and one cabin crew member.
Passengers will have to pay Rs 4,500 per head as the aircraft is not under Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) of the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA)
Earlier, Air Odisha had started services from Ahmedabad to Jamnagar, Mundra and Diu under the Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN) Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS).
