Addl DGP’s Daughter-Traffic Police Face-Off: FIR lodged

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police on Friday filed an FIR in the Additional DGP’s daughter-traffic police face-off incident.

According to reports, the Capital Police registered an FIR against the ADG’s daughter based on the complaint of the woman traffic police with whom the ADG’s wife and daughter had an altercation yesterday.

The case has been registered under Sections 341,294,353 and 34 of the IPC.

In her FIR, the woman traffic police has alleged that the daughter of ADG of Railways and Coastal Security Pranabindu Acharya misbehaved with her after violating traffic rules.

Meanwhile, sources said that police have started an investigation into the matter and are verifying the CCTV footage.

Notably, the ADG’s daughter had accused the constable of slapping her after stopping her car at the traffic post near AG Square yesterday. She was supported by her mother. Tension had prevailed on the spot. However, Acharya came and took control of the situation.
