55 multi-purpose cyclone shelters in Odisha: CM Naveen Patnaik Sanctions Rs 29.36 Cr in second phase

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik sanctioned Rs 29.36 crore in the second phase for the construction of 55 new multi-purpose shelters in the state.

Reportedly, the new multi-purpose cyclone shelters will be constructed at a cost of Rs 98 crore. Out of the total amount, the Chief Minister sanctioned Rs 29.36 crore in the first phase earlier in April. It is being constructed by the Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA).

These shelters have played an important role in protecting people during natural disasters such as cyclones and floods. Significant progress has been initiated in the first phase.

Therefore, in the second phase, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik sanctioned additional Rs 29.36 crore in the second phase to expedite the work. In addition, the Chief Minister has directed to complete the work as soon as possible.
