545 new Covid cases, 7 deaths reported in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A total of 545 Covid-19 positive cases including 74 in the 0-18 years age group have been detected positive in Odisha in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 10,25,309 informed the Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Tuesday.

Among the 545 positives in quarantine there are 319 and Local contact 226 cases. As of now 10,11,482 patients have recovered including 653 in the last 24 hours in the state. The number of total active cases stands at 5,587.

Meanwhile, seven COVID infected patients died in the last 24 hours, informed the State Health & Family Welfare Department on Tuesday. The department also stated that the list does not reflect deaths occurring on a particular day. It gives details of past deaths for which the death audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to Covid-19.

1.A 45 years old Male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.

2.A 78 years old Female of Cuttack District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Hypothyroidism, Chronic Kidney Disease.

3.A 25 years old Male of Ganjam District.

4.A 55 years old Male of Jagatsinghpur District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Chronic Kidney Disease.

5.A 89 years old Male of Jagatsinghpur District who was also suffering from Hypertension.

6.A 65 years old Male of Jajpur District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypertension.

7.A 20 years old Female of Kendrapara District who was also suffering from Hypertension, Chronic Kidney Disease & ESRD.
