Balangir: In yet another tragic accident, three persons were killed after the bike which they were riding was hit by an unidentified heavy vehicle. The incident occurred near Satamali in Puintala block of the district in the late hours of Saturday night.
The deceased, identified as Lalit Ranjan Kar, Achyut Bagarti and Rakesh Bag are residents of Malipada and were returning to Balangir on Saturday night. The mishap occurred when their bike was rammed by an unidentified vehicle, killing the trio instantly.
In the meanwhile, police are yet to trace the vehicle which killed the youths. They have registered a case and initiated probe to nab the culrpits.
