Balangir: At least three persons were killed after a bike they were travelling on was hit head-on by a passenger bus near Luhurapali under Saintala Police Station area last night.
As per the report, the mishap took place at around 12.30 am in the night while a passenger bus was on its way to Bhubaneswar from Kalahandi. It is suspected that, the bike rider failed to spot the bus due to dense fog in the area and ended up hitting it from the front.
The impact of the collision was so high that the riders of the bike died on the spot.
Saintala Police reached the spot and rushed the bodies for autopsy. Later it seized the mangled bike from the spot to start investigation.
The identification of the deceased is yet to be made in the incident.
