2 kgs gold loot from SBI locker in Odisha; former bank staff arrested

Koraput: Gold jewellery had been looted from a SBI branch at Koraput on Friday.

According to reports the police has arrested former bank staff. He has been identified as Sekhar Kuldipiya.

The police has also seized as much as 1.18 kgs gold from his residence.

It is noteworthy that, on January 14, 2022 miscreants have allegedly looted more than 2 kgs gold ornaments from State Bank of India (SBI), Lakhmipur branch in Koraput district of Odisha on Friday.

The manager of the said SBI branch has registered a complaint with the police. According to sources, more than 2 kg gold has been stolen from the bank’s locker.

The Lakhmipur police reached the bank and started an investigation into the matter.

The investigation in the case is underway. The police are looking into the CCTV footage.
