Khordha: At least two houses were gutted and over 40 cattle burnt alive in a deadly fire which broke out in Daleiput village under Sadar police limits in the district last night.
Sparks erupted in one cattle trader Antaryami Subudhi’s cattle shed in Upara Sahi area of the village at around 12 midnight and later spread to other parts of his house. As many as three cattle sheds owned by Subudhi and accommodating over 150 goats were engulfed by the flames, killing over 40 animals.
