Bhubaneswar: Blistering heatwave swept across Odisha with 14 places in the State recorded temperature above 40 degree Celsius today. This was informed by the Meteorological Centre here.
According to the weather department, Titilagarh City turned out to be the hottest place in the State as it witnessed 42.2 degree Celsius temperature.
This is the second-highest temperature reported in Titilagarh City in the month of March in the last 10 years between 2011 and 2021, said the Meteorological Centre adding that the highest temperature (44 degree Celsius) in the month of March was reported on March 31, 2017.
Apart from Titilagarh, the places where the temperature touched the 40-degree Celcius mark are:
