10 Rooms Gutted In Fire in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur

Jagatsinghpur: At least 10 rooms of three families were reduced to ashes after a fire broke out at Sanasarola village in Tirtol tehsil of Jagatsinghpur district last night.

Though no casualties or injuries were reported, properties worth lakhs were destroyed in the mishap.

According to sources, fire broke out at one Abhay Swain’s house at around 1.30 am in the night and within no time it engulfed other two houses in the village. Around 10 rooms were gutted in fire.

On being informed, two fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flame. After four hours of battle by the fire-fighters they could control the fire.

But the exact cause of the fire is still unknown. The villagers of Sanasarola demanded financial help from the government to the affected families.
