Indian captain Rohit Sharma has surpassed the legendary cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and Mahendra Singh Dhoni for monumental milestones. He has surpassed Sachin Tendulkar in the list of captains with most runs for India, while, he moved ahead of MS Dhoni in the most sixes by an Indian in Test history.
In the list of captains with most runs for India, Virat Kohli stands first with 12,883 runs, following him MS Dhoni ranks in the list with 11,207 runs. Mohammed Azharuddin stand in third position with 8,095 runs, while Sourav Ganguly is at the fourth rank with 7,643 runs. Next in the list is Rohit Sharma with 4,527 runs, who recently surpassed master blaster Sachin Tendulkar who have 4,508 runs.
Rohit Sharma went past former India captain MS Dhoni in the list of most sixes hit by Indians in Test cricket. Virender Sehwag tops the list with 90 sixes in 103 Test matches. Rohit Sharma stand second in the list with 79 sixes in 57 Tests while he surpassed MS Dhoni, who has hit 78 sixes in 90 Test matches.
Apart from this, the Hitman also surpassed Sourav Ganguly in most runs in International cricket for India. The legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar tops the list with 34,357 runs, followed by Virat Kohli, who has scored 26,733 runs. Rahul Dravid stands third in the list with 24,208 runs. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma surpassed Sourav Ganguly, who has scored 18,575 runs. Rohit Sharma has scored 18,577*.
In his total One-Day Internationals, he has scored 10,709 runs at an average of 49.12, with 31 centuries and 55 centuries. His best score is 264.
