MS Dhoni faces defamation case by ex-business partners, hearing by Delhi HC on Jan 29

The ex-business partners of MS Dhoni have filed defamation cases against him, The hearing of the case will be done at the Delhi HC on Jan 29.

In recent news, the former business partners of MS Dhoni have filed defamation cases against the former Indian cricket captain. The hearing of the case will be done at the Delhi High Court on January 29.

The former business partners of Dhoni, Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Das filed a defamation suit against him at the Delhi HC. Notably, they have also filed a case against Meta, YouTube, Google, X (formerly Twitter), among other media houses.

Through this case, the duo seeks to put a permanent stop to the false and defamatory statements issued against them by media houses and social media platforms.

The Delhi HC instructed the registrar to inform MS Dhoni about the case filed against him on January 18.

Justice Pratibha M Singh directed the registrar to issue an email to MS Dhoni and also send an intimation to the law firm representing him.

Earlier in the first week of January, star Indian Cricketer MS Dhoni filed a criminal case against two officials of Aarka Sports Management in Ranchi. The case was files over a breached cricket academy deal that dates back to 2017. Earlier reports told us that the two officials duped Dhoni of Rs 15 crore.

The cases were registered under Section 406 (Criminal breach of trust) and 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code.
