Nehal Wadhera made heads turn when he walked with pads as a punishment for arriving late to the batters meeting, said reports.
IPL 2023: Mumbai Indians (MI) batsman Nehal Wadhera was made to wear pads at the Mumbai Airport, said reports. The player was punished for arriving late at the batsmen meeting.
Wadhera regretted being late for the meeting ahead of Mumbai Indian’s match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). As a punishment he walked with batting pads on at the Mumbai airport. The team was supposed to catch a flight for Lucknow for the next match.
The video of the walk where Nehal Wadhera gets punished was shared on the Instagram page of Wadhera and Mumbai Indians. The video went viral. Netzines were amused by the unique punishment MI gave Wadhera.

Another one commented by saying, While one of the users saw the funny side of the picture and said, “Next time, if Wadhera is late for the meeting, MI should ask him to lift skipper Rohit Sharma.” The Nehal Wadhera gets punished video was widely shared. Wadhera has performed well in the IPL 2023 season. He has scored two fifties in four matches. It is worth mentioning that currently, MI is in third spot with 14 points from 12 games.
