In a video captured by journalist Vimal Kumar, Da Silva’s mother can be seen shedding tears of joy while meeting one of her favorite cricketers, Virat Kohli. Da Silva was overjoyed as he recounted how his mother had informed him that she was coming to watch the match solely to see Kohli play.

Kohli’s monumental achievement in the match also added to the emotional moment. He became the first cricketer in the history of the sport to score a century in his 500th international match. The Indian captain’s remarkable form continued in the second Test, where he scored an impressive 121 runs before getting run out by Alzarri Joseph.
