IND vs ENG 3rd Test: Ravindra Jadeja becomes 15th Indian to score 1000 Test runs vs England

In recent news, all-rounder cricketer Ravindra Jadeja has become the 15th Indian to fetch 1000 runs in Test matches vs England. This comes after the first session of India vs England 3rd Test Day 2 in Rajkot.

It is noteworthy mentioning that with this, Ravindra Jadeja has surpassed former team captain Sourav Ganguly to become the 15th Indian to score 1000 Test runs against England.

Today’s India vs England 3rd Test Day 2 is taking place at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot.

Ravindra Jadeja continued the first session of today’s match from 110 runs. However, he was bowled out within a short span of time by Joe Root. Notably, Jadeja scored 112 runs in 225 balls, including nine fours and two sixes.

Ravindra Jadeja and Captain Rohit Sharma showed a great partnership on Day 1. Both of them together scored a 201 run and showed a great control on the game. Rohit Sharma was dismissed after scoring 131 runs.

Post which, Jadeja played on the pitch with debutant Sarfaraz Khan. In a noteworthy mention, Sarfaraz scored his first half century in his debut match.

However, a miscommunication between the batters led to the unfortunate dismissal of debutant Sarfaraz in just 62 runs off 66 balls. After which, Jadeja moved on to score his fourth Test century.
