Hockey World Cup 2018: Top 8 teams gear up for Quarterfinals

Bhubaneswar: The quarter-finals for the on-going Men’s Hockey World Cup will be played at Kalinga stadium here from today.

Hosts India, two-time defending champions Australia, Argentina and Germany have made a direct entry after topping their Pools in the group stage, while England, France, Belgium and the Netherlands have qualified after winning their respective cross-over matches.

Today, Olympic champions Argentina will lock horn with England at 4. 45 PM, while dark horses France will face mighty Australia at 7 PM

India will face the Netherlands tomorrow, while Germany will meet Belgium.

Manpreet Singh led India is the only team from Asia as the top eight teams of the mega event.
