BCCI likely to meet today, name squad for remaining 3 Tests vs England

In recent news, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is likely to hold a meeting to finalise the Indian squad for remaining three Tests against England. However, an official confirmation on the same is yet to be made.

Speculations have it that the squad is likely to remain the same. However, if Virat Kohli will be a part of the squad or not, remains a big question.

This comes after the BCCI announced replacements for KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja, owing to their injuries during the first Test of India vs England.

Yesterday, the BCCI added new names to the squad for second Test in Vizag. They were namely, Sarfaraz Khan, Sourabh Kumar, and Washington Sunday.

Reports from reliable sources suggest that while KL Rahul’s injury can be considered a minor one, Ravindra Jadeja might be out of the squad for a longer period of time.

Earlier Virat Kohli had given the decision of withdrawing from the first Two test matches against England due to a personal reason. While BCCI supported this decision of Kohli, it refrained from commenting about the reason behind it.

Off late, Virat Kohli has also not been as active on social media as he used to be. This has given rise to speculations suggesting a rough patch in the personal life of the star Indian cricketer. Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see if Kohli returns to the field for the last three Tests.
