IIT Kanpur Placements 2023: 485 job offers on day 1, including 12 international offers

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur witnessed an impressive start to its placement drive for the graduating batch 2023-24. On the first day of placement, a staggering 485 job offers were extended to students, with 12 of them securing coveted international positions.
Microsoft, Navi, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, and Deutsche Bank emerged as the top recruiters, contributing significantly to the success of the placement drive. A notable highlight is that 216 students clinched Pre-Placement Offers (PPO) from both national and international companies, showcasing the global recognition of IIT Kanpur talent.
Comparing this year’s placements with the previous cycle, the institute has demonstrated consistent growth. Last year’s phase one placement, which spanned from December 1 to December 15, saw 1,128 job offers, including 208 PPOs. The 74 international offers of the preceding year also underline the institute’s global standing.
In the last placement drive, the highest domestic offer reached an impressive Rs 1.9 crore. Notably, 33 students accepted offers exceeding Rs 1 crore from various national and international organizations. Over 250 companies, including more than 35 startups, participated in the phase one campus hiring, collectively offering 1,200 jobs.
