It is not a quite usual sight to see streets that are filled with different types of airplanes.
This real life, non-fictional sight can be spotted in Cameron Airpark in US’ California. Residents who reside in Cameron Park in US own airplanes and have them parked in front of their houses just like other people have cars.
Notably, the residential airpark or the fly-in communities like this one, are privately owned. Herein, people from outside are not allowed to reside. The Airpark in California is located near the Cameron Park Airport. Pilots and Aviation enthusiasts use this residential area to park their planes at home.
It is interesting to mention that people in this area use their airplanes to visit places, and do their daily chores conveniently. The area has roads of about 100 feet width for airplanes to be able to operate smoothly. Due to the spacing, it gets easy for airplanes to land straight in front of their houses.
Moreover, the Cameron Airpark in California is home to about 124 houses. Built in the year 1963, the area has a pretty unique story behind it. Don’t you want to know what?
The story behind the building of this residential area dates back to the time when World War II was just over. At that time, numerous Airfields were left unchanged. It was then that the aviation authority took matter into hands and developed them into a residential airpark for retired military pilots.
