Watch: Man in Sri Lanka flew 30 feet high in the air at a kite flying event; video viral

A man flew 30 feet above the ground during a kite flying event, the video of the incident is going crazy viral on social media.

A man named Nadarasa Manoharan, was at a kite flying competition at Point Pedro in Jaffna, Sri Lanka, when he was lifted 30 feet in the air when he tried to bounce while holding the rope of the kite and the rest of his team let it go.

However, luckily the man escaped the situation unhurt after a safe landing.

During the kite-flying game, a team of six men was trying to fly a large kite with jute ropes. As it began to glide up the team slowly started to let go of it, except one person who tried to bounce while holding the rope. This is when things turned extremely dangerous as the kite began to rise quickly and in seconds the man was lifted to at least 30 feet above the ground and suspended in the air.

The incident was captured on camera, and the man could be seen trying to save his life for almost a minute after finally letting it go.

While talking to the local news channel, Manoharan said that he did not look down once he was airborne and only let go of the rope when his hands became numb to hold on.

Later the man was admitted to the Point Pedro Hospital after crashing to the ground. He sustained minor injuries in the freak accident.
