The horrific video was originally shared by Sushant Nanda, an Indian Forest Service officer, on a social media platform.
In the video, the man is seen bathing his pet snake, a king cobra. The 19-second-long clip shows the man pouring water over the king cobra using a mug from a bucket. At one point, he even held the head of the potentially deadly snake while cleaning its body.
While sharing the video, Nanda questions the necessity of this daring act, writing, “Bathing a king cobra. Snakes have skin to protect and keep them clean, which they shed periodically. So what’s the need for playing with fire?”

The viral video has gone viral since its posting. It had already received more than 10,000 views and is still counting, with several comments.
While some people questioned the need for such a risky act, others admired the man’s courage and lack of fear.

Another wrote, “This seems to be from Thailand or Vietnam… may be after washing they keep them in cages for selling for snake meat.”
