The footage shows an elderly man holding the python by its tail, and the young boy arrives at the scene, courageously catching the snake by its neck to assist in the rescue.
Netizens have been praising the unidentified boy since the video surfaced on November 22. The incident took place in Kundapura, Saligrama. The boy, whose identity remains unknown, is being lauded for his “daredevil,” “dangerous,” and “heroic” actions.
In the video, the minor boy initially appears hesitant as he approaches the elderly man holding the snake by its tail. However, after a few attempts, he successfully catches the python by its neck.
After securing the snake, the boy, with the assistance of the man holding the tail, brings the 10-12 feet long python out of the bushes. The snake is seen rolling around the boy’s hand. Subsequently, another person brings a sack, and together they place the snake inside. The plan is reportedly to release the snake back into the wild.
Netizens appreciate the compassionate approach taken in handling the snake. One user commented, “Very great and grand that nobody beat the snake, opting to put it in a sack, to release somewhere else I guess?” Another user highlighted the regional sentiment, stating, “In South Canara and North Canara regions of Mangalore Udupi Kundapura and going up to Karwar, people do not harm snakes and don’t hit them.”
