Israel man grows world’s heaviest strawberry, breaks record

A man from Israel created a new record by growing a strawberry with a whopping weight of 330 grams.

Identified as Ariel Chahi from Kadima-Zoran in Israel took his love for farming a little further when he grew a gigantic strawberry that weighed 289 grams. However, with the stem, the weight of the fruit increases to 299 grams, setting a record on The Guinness World Records as the world’s heaviest strawberry.

According to the reports, his strawberry belongs to the Ilan variety. This variety of strawberry is known for producing large fruits. It was grown by Ariel’s family business called Strawberries in the Field.

The Guinness World Records’ official Instagram handle shared a video that showcases Ariel determining the weight of the fruit. He first weighed an iPhone XR, before measuring the weight of the strawberry. The phone weighed a total of 194 grams, and the fruit came out to be of 299  grams. He then measured the strawberry’s length, breadth and circumference, which came out to be 18 cm, 4 cm and 34 cm respectively.
