Keonjhar: Tension prevailed in Jhadapokhari village under Harichandanpur police limits in Keonjhar district this morning after a woman’s body was found hanging in a cashew forest in mysterious conditions.
As per the report, some locals who visited the cashew forest in some work early in the morning spotted the body and called up police.
Later, Harichandanpur Police rushed to the spot and conducted preliminary investigation after recovering and sending the body for autopsy.
While it is still not clear whether the woman had committed suicide or miscreants had hanged her body in the garden after killing somewhere else, police said the case is being probed from all possible angles.
The victim could not have been identified yet.
