Unrest in SCB Cuttack as patient dies due to alleged medical negligence
People have crowded and staged an unrest in SCB Cuttack due to the alleged death of a patient due to medical negligence.
Cuttack: There has been an unrest in SCB Cuttack due the death of a patient in the medical college and hospital, said reports on Sunday.
According to reliable reports, a young woman in Puri fell unwell and was brought and admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack by her relatives.
But unfortunately, the doctors who checked on her said that she was brought dead. Reports say that this had led to major discontentment among the relatives of the woman and they staged an unrest in SCB claiming medical negligence.
They said that the death occurred due to considerable delay in providing treatment to the woman.
The local police immediately reached the hospital and tried to placate the protesting mob. Detailed awaited in this regard.
