Bus hits unknown vehicle in Odisha’s Balasore district, 3 injured, over 50 passengers narrowly escape

Balasore: At least three people were injured, while over 50 passengers narrowly escaped major mishap after the bus they were on board hit an unknown vehicle in Odisha’s Balasore district. The incident occurred on National Highway number 60 at Barunagadia Chakk under Basta police limits of the district.

According to sources, the bus, named Kalianana, was en route towards Digha of West Bengal when the accident occurred. The bus reportedly lost control and hit an unknown vehicle. In the incident three passengers were injured, while over 50 passengers narrowly escaped a major mishap.

After receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot and initiated investigation into the matter. The cops also rushed the injured to nearby hospital.

In a similar instance earlier, a person was killed, while another is critically injured in bike accident in Odisha’s Khurda district. The incident occurred in Sanahantuada Bridge under Banapur police limits of the district.

According to sources, two man identified as Balram Nayak and Sumanta Nayak were on their way to Pankala village from Banapur when they met with the accident. Following the incident, Balram Nayak died on the spot, while Sumanta was rushed to nearby hospital in critical condition. He has been further shifted to Bhubaneswar hospital as his condition deteriorated.
